CCR has been long blessed by the charism of prophecy, with many members receiving words and pictures from the Holy Spirit to edify, exhort and comfort individuals and groups. This is in response to the words of St Paul:
Follow the way of love and eagerly desire the gifts of the Spirit-especially prophecy.
-1 Corinthians 14:1
This is also affirmed in the 2012 Vatican document Baptism in the Holy Spirit, International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services Doctrinal Commission, p49:
St Paul places strongest emphasis on prophecy as the charism that is especially efficacious in building up the Church. Prophecy is speech inspired by the Spirit, communicating a message that is not one's own but comes from God.
Key words for the encouragement and growth of Renewal will be posted on here. These words were recently received by a group of intercessors for the upcoming OVERFLOW conference in Birmingham on 1 July 2023.
When praying for Overflow, there a was a sense of unity and a expression of Joy. This event is going to be very special, showing us the path. Regarding invitations, the group prayed that any timidity would be taken away and that we would be BOLD for Jesus. Some had a tangible experience of being filled with enthusiasm for going forward. (This was echoed by several people). The group is going forward at a “good pace” and “nothing will stand in the way.”
Picture of a Map of lots of different parts of the country but with different colours, not primary colours but colours merged together, converging and just flowing into each. And a feeling of momentum that our gifts and flavours (not differences) would be emphasised in
the Overflow event.
Pic of WAGON WHEEL (Rim, Spokes and Hub) - Overflow will mark a significant coming together of people and direction to accelerate renewal in the Kingdom. The spokes connect the rim and hub in a wheel structure. The wagon load transfers through the axle to the hub, then through the spokes to the rim to the ground, all holding together in structural unity. The wheel starts moving and the wagon moves on. Separated wheel components mean that the load in the wagon is not moved its stationary
